Built in Colombo 7 in 1965, the Planetarium remains the only one of its kind in Sri Lanka. The spectacular architecture of the building is hidden from view to passing traffic as the Planetarium keeps a low profile but is a popular site for school field trips. An artificial sky is created in the domed ceiling of a 570-seat auditorium with the aid of a universal projector.Category
